The project in a nutshell
- Project title: Digital Dashboards in Diagnostic Innovations
- Project acronym: Dididi
- Funding programme: Horizon Europe
- Funding agency: EDCTP3
- Timeline: 01/03/2026 – 28/02/2030 (48 months)
DIDIDI is a Horizon Europe project addressing the growing impact of climate change on water-related diseases. As environmental conditions evolve, risks linked to water quality and availability are increasing, particularly in vulnerable regions. The project brings together partners from Europe and Africa to better understand how climate change influences disease patterns and to promote effective prevention strategies. By combining research, stakeholder engagement and knowledge sharing, DIDIDI aims to support more informed public health responses. Key activities include analysing climate–health interactions, engaging local communities, and organising events to raise awareness and foster collaboration. Two major events will take place in Africa, in Kenya and Uganda, bringing together researchers, healthcare professionals and local stakeholders. Through its work, DIDIDI seeks to improve awareness, strengthen prevention practices and enhance collaboration across sectors, ultimately contributing to more resilient communities in the face of climate-related health challenges.
